But we didn’t have to worry. You were their protection, making the landing soft.

And then as they grew, came the hours (and hours!) of small world play.
You’d balance little world creations as their imaginations exploded.’One more block!’
Their knees and bottoms down for longer than planned.

You’ve seen rainy-day afternoons filled with curiosity and joy.
Puzzles and games spread across the mat.
No rush to pack away, because these comfy everyday moments are everything.

You’ve stretched out beneath storytime sprawl-outs and fancy dress fun.
Books stacked high; pretend play props bringing the magic to life.

We often get down on the floor too and just revel in the beauty of the chaos.
You sit with humble confidence in the middle of it all.
Handling the mess.
Holding the moments.
Making space for play, learning and all of the rest.
