"Beautiful! I was hesitant about buying this because of the price but this is well worth it. It looks absolutely beautiful and is used daily by myself and the children. It sits on hard wood floor and cushions my 7month old's falls brilliantly - he doesn't even realise he's toppled over sometimes, it's that well cushioned. And then somehow magically, it is also firm enough to balance my three year olds towering wooden blocks creations! Highly recommend for any play space!"

At 250cm x 150cm, the XL play mat is the largest one piece baby mat on the market. It makes a great alternative to an area rug in classic Persian and Batik designs. For this new collection, we've used specialist printing techniques which allow us to have the beautiful border and intricate detail- we can't believe it's not an actual rug either!

Expensive (to me) but well worth it!
"Honestly, I was on the fence because of cost. . . but having something that was cute, would last a long time through messes, and would support crawling through walking and beyond was enough to tip me over into a purchase. We've had our play mat in our living room (hardwood floors) and it's our main play area. Baby (almost 7 months) is crawling, standing, and using her climbing blocks and I don't worry as much when they fall down. I don't feel like I'm going to need to replace the mat at each big movement milestone (extra squishy for crawling comfort vs more firm for walking), which will save me money in the long run. Baby zips across the mat crawling no problem anyway! I'm going to wind up purchasing more as we change the play area around- we're in an apartment and we have to plan carefully and be very intentional about the space use. Note: in the picture you see a random gray fabric playmate because baby likes to nap on it & extra pillows on the edge because baby is a daredevil who loves to launch the self past where the T&T mat is 😂 chaos everywhere left in tact because that's real life!"

Can I put furniture on the playmat?
Totter + Tumble’s weightier memory foam means the surface will mould around you, and will seek to support anything on it. Temporary pressure marks from things like knobbly knees, elbows and even play equipment like Pikler triangles, will recover and it’s for this reason we always suggest observing any lasting dents over a few days. As your playmat eases into your home, you'll find it will get quicker at recovering from pressure spots the more you use it.
